Life can be a testing and stressful experience. At times of heightened anxiety and uncertainty you may be asking an important question. Can counselling help me? Perhaps you are reading this today because you want a better relationship with your partner or children or want to relieve the pain of a bereavement, anxiety or depression. You might find yourself thinking “I could use some help with my anger”, “I’ve been feeling low like this for too long now, “I wish I could stop feeling anxious” or “Will I ever get over this?”. There are many other questions you may also be asking yourself and if any of those I have mentioned seem to fit then the answer to your important question maybe yes. Counselling might really help.

At the beginning the thought of counselling may feel daunting. But after experiencing the therapeutic relationship people often feel calmer and less stressed. Some report that sleep has improved, they are less self-critical, and can praise and appreciate themselves and those who they need and rely upon.

Practice description

I am a fully qualified BPC accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist offering individual therapy to adults. I offer time-limited or long-term, open-ended psychotherapy. I work both face to face from my consulting rooms and online using video on Zoom as well as by telephone.

I am also a fully qualified, BAPPS accredited psychoanalytic supervisor and have availability at present.
