Richard Faulding

Child, Young Person and Family Psychodynamic Psychotherapist

About Richard Faulding

I have extensive experience working with young people across the charity and international school sectors. I support children and their families who are navigating a wide range of social and emotional challenges, including situations where there is risk of harm.

My therapeutic approach is holistic, underpinned by a core training at the Tavistock Clinic, where I developed a strong grounding in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic thinking. Psychodynamic practice is centred on understanding how early experiences, relationships, and unconscious processes can influence emotional wellbeing and behaviour. Through careful listening and reflection, this approach helps children and young people make sense of their inner world, develop greater self-awareness, and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
