Cecilia Welsh

I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist trained at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. During my training I worked as an Adult Honorary Psychodynamic Psychotherapist in an NHS service.

I am also a qualified Nurse and have worked in the NHS for forty years initially as a General Nurse but primarily as a Mental Health Nurse working in hospitals and in the community. In the last seventeen years of my NHS career, I have been working with Young Women, Children and Families.

My psychotherapy practice involves offering a collaborative therapeutic space to adults finding themselves troubled by: life experiences; emotions; relationships with others. Providing a listening and thinking space to explore unconscious processes that influence behaviour enables deeper insight, better self-understanding and growth.
