Cecilia Welsh

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist trained at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. During my training I worked as an adult honorary psychodynamic psychotherapist in an NHS service.

I am also a qualified nurse and have worked in the NHS for thirty years initially as a general nurse but primarily as a mental health nurse working in hospitals and in the community. In the last seventeen years of my NHS career, I have been working with young women, children and families.

My psychotherapy practice involves offering a collaborative therapeutic space to adults finding themselves troubled by their emotions, relationships with others and life experiences. Providing a listening and thinking space to explore unconscious processes that influence behaviour enables deeper insight, better self-understanding and growth.
