About Eileen Toibin

Areas of interest. I regularly work with patients in these categories: Depression, Anxiety, Relationship Difficulties, Creativity, Sexuality, New mothers: pre-birth and post- partum concerns

I spent nine years, working part-time, as a senior psychotherapist, in the NHS. (South Essex NHS partnership). This was in a Complex Needs Service, which dealt with borderline and psychotic patients. I had a responsibility for assessments. I also supervised trainee therapists, and trainee psychiatrists undertaking their psychotherapy training.

I spent eight years as a member of the ‘Difficult Patient Seminar’ (run by David Morgan) at the Portman Clinic.

I spent eight years as the Assessment Therapist for the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine. I have always maintained a private practice in addition to the above mentioned work. I qualified in 1996 and have been practicing since then.
