Liza Catan

I qualified as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist 25 years ago after a career as a researcher in the academic and public sectors. Since then I have worked in private practice in Brighton and Hove, specializing in intensive analytic work, though undertaking less intensive work as well. During this time I have taught and supervised for several psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapy trainings. I have been a Senior Member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation (Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association) since 2016, and a Training Therapist for IPCAPA - the Independent Psychoanalytic Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Association of the BPF - since 2018.

I prefer to work in person but am happy to incorporate some online or phone sessions in to an ongoing therapy.
