Sharon Bergin

I qualified as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist in 2014 and have worked as a Psychotherapist since this time in organisations and in private practice.

I have experience of working with individuals who present with diagnoses such as ADHD, autism, one or more of the many different types of personality disorder, and with individuals who experience psychotic states of mind. That said, anyone can engage in psychotherapy at any time, and, for any reason. Most people who seek counselling and psychotherapy do not come with a diagnosis; they come because they are struggling with what’s going on in their life and/or what’s going on in their mind, and they are looking for change.

My specialist areas are relational difficulties and trauma. From these areas, we experience symptoms such as anxiety, depression, relationship breakdown, and at times, harmful and/or repetitive behaviours. My focus will be on helping you understand what function they have served for you, where they come from, and how to bring about change
