Psychodynamic Counsellor: Face-to-Face Appointments
Compass Point Counselling and Psychotherapy is looking for experienced psychodynamic counsellors to join our growing counselling practice in Ross on Wye.

We currently have three accredited psychodynamic counsellors at Compass Point and we are looking to add more client provision for face-to-face work due to high demand. We would like to hear from accredited counsellors or those who are qualified and working towards accreditation. We would also like to invite those qualifying counsellors with a minimum of two years supervised psychodynamic clinical work, who are in their final year of training and expecting to graduate this summer.
At Compass Point we offer psychodynamic counselling to individual adults and couples in our large comfortable consulting room in the centre of Ross on Wye, where we have been established for over 6 years. We attract clients from across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire and beyond. We have a varied caseload of face-to-face and online work from a diverse demographic. Most of our work is open-ended and working face-to-face from our large comfortable consulting room in Ross on Wye. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to Ross to work with clients.
We are looking for counsellors to be available for face-to-face appointments across the week – days and times will be agreed with the successful candidates. We particularly need counsellors to be able to work evenings and/or Fridays. There is demand for weekend provision and we would consider offering this if someone wished to commit to it. All counsellors are required to be available for a minimum of three client sessions per week, and be available to attend supervision provided online via Zoom. Experience and training in working with couples would be an advantage, but is not a requirement.
Ideally you would also be competent in working remotely from home for phone or online appointments if required to do so.
Rates of pay for accredited counsellors:
Individuals: £21.29 paid per 50 minute session
Couples: £31.94 paid per 50 minute session.
Rates of pay for other counsellors is to be negotiated and will depend on experience.
