Psychodynamic / Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist Trustees
WPF is looking for two Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist Trustees. These roles will bring clinical thinking and leadership to the Board through this critical time.
Location: London Bridge and Online
Start date: Thursday 18 May 2023
Deadline for applications: Wednesday 19 April 2023
Salary: Volunteer
The Chair of the Clinical Governance and Research Sub Committee trustee role is pivotal to supporting the senior team and the Board in the development and delivery of clinical services. Day to day leadership and management is delegated to the Executive Team, with the Chair of the Clinical Governance and Research Sub Committee working in partnership with the Chief Executive and Clinical Director, in a strategic advisory capacity. We anticipate that this role may also act as Vice Chair bringing clinical thinking to the 3-way meetings that Chair, Vice Chair and CEO have on a weekly basis.
The recent graduate Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist trustee role will bring an important contribution to the Training and Ethics and/or the Clinical Governance and Research Sub Committee, contributing both applied clinical thinking and direct experience of recent training.
All roles will require registration with the UKCP or BPC and have a mixture of experience working within organisations and private practice. You will have up to date knowledge of the developments in the psychotherapy field, and you will have ambitions for how we can develop and promote the charity that makes a real difference to many people.
Experience of the charity sector is desirable, though not essential, nor is previous trustee experience. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly.
You will be working with a group of highly skilled and motivated Trustees and have real opportunities to shape our future.
We are particularly keen to encourage applications from those that are from groups underrepresented within the psychotherapy sector. It is important to us that our Board represents the community we serve, and we are working towards this. Applications are welcome from anyone who meets our essential criteria.
We want you to have every opportunity to demonstrate your skills, ability and potential; please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustment so that we can help with making the application process work for you. For more information about the Trustee roles please go to our website.
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 19 April 2023, but please do apply at your earliest convenience as we will be considering applications as they come through.
To apply for this vacancy, please submit your CV and a covering letter outlining why you are interested and how you meet the requirements of the role. Applications should be sent to humanresources@wpf.org.uk. For an informal discussion or to learn more about the role or organisation you are welcome to speak to either the Chair or CEO via our staff.
