Location: London – hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH)
Working hours: Part-time: 50 hours per annum, comprising of one face-to-face seminar running weekly for 1.5 hour at 17:00 on a weekday, over 30 weeks of the academic year, plus attendance at staff and training meetings (approximately five per year)

The Seminar Leader will facilitate weekly term-time work discussion groups (approximately ten discussion groups per term, 30 per academic year), as part of the MSc Early Child Development and Clinical Applications (MSc Early Dev). This two-year MSc provides a comprehensive understanding of early child development (prenatal to 5 years of age), as well as how the early years impact later development. Psychoanalytic thinking is the primary organising approach but other theoretical and clinical perspectives are embedded throughout the teaching.
In Year 2, students attend a clinical placement three days a week from October to June. The placements are all at Anna Freud, NHS clinical services or charities and supervised by Child Psychotherapists or Clinical Psychologists. The Work Discussion Group (WDG) is a weekly space for students to meet and reflect on their learning and development in placements with the Group Facilitator. The successful candidate will be qualified in a relevant field (please refer to the Job Profile), demonstrate experience in facilitating reflective practice discussions/groups with either staff or students/trainees and will have worked with children and families in early years in a range of settings.
The post-holder will sit in Anna Freud’s successful Education and Training Division and will have the opportunity to attend interesting talks and lectures within Anna Freud.
