Clinical Psychologist:
•Registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (PYL26030), and kitemarked with the British Psychanalytic Council as an accredited Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT) Practitioner (BPC, 2020). Currently working towards accreditation Parental Embodied Mentalizing (PEM™) Reflective Practice and Certification. Additionally, I hold The Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Family Certificate (2022). I also hold an updated DBS Enhanced Certificate for working with Adults and Children.
•Experienced in providing individual and group therapy with people who have complex trauma histories and may have diagnosis of Personality Disorder.
•Specialising in parent/ child assessments, and supporting parents with complex trauma.
•Providing consultation to individuals and staff groups, including training, reflective practice and supervision.
•Have worked for over 10 years in the NHS (prior to current role working for a charity supporting people with complex trauma), specialising in the areas of Learning Disabilities, Positive Behavioural Support Coaching, Mental Health, Risk & Personality Disorders. Experienced in providing individual and MBT group therapy to patients, individual and teams supervisions.
•Over 8 years collaborating with experts by experience co-facilitating training on the Knowledge and Understanding Framework for Personality disorder (KUF PD). Since 2018 I have co-facilitated the KUF training for staff working on the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway in the Southwest.
•The British Psychological Society practice guidelines recommend that all Clinical Psychologists have regular supervision from a suitably qualified psychologist and therefore I receive supervision on my casework. Rules of confidentiality is adhered to within the supervisory relationship.
