Archetypes in the machine? Jungian analysis and AI
Book ticketsOrganised by:
Association Of Jungian Analysts
Description
Join us if you are a Jungian analyst, analytical psychologist, or allied practitioner who wants to explore how the resources of analytical psychology can help us respond — personally, clinically, societally, and ethically — to the emergence of artificial intelligence. No prior knowledge of AI is required. This event is open to all who are curious about one of the defining challenges of our time.
Over the course of this online event, you will hear four short presentations followed by open discussion exploring AI through the lens of analytical psychology:
Stephen Garratt, “What is emerging with AI” – an accessible account of what AI is and how rapidly it is developing;
Patrycja Jackson, “AI and the Portents of the Age” — An Astrological and Mythological Reading of this Epochal Turn;
Orsolya Lukács, “Myths of the ‘other’” – the first of two explorations of archetypal and imaginal resources, drawing on the myths of the ‘other’
Richard Jenkins, “Spirit conversations” – drawing comparisons and lessons from Jung’s encounters in the Red and Black Books and the angelic conversations of John Dee.
The event concludes with a conversation about next steps and the formation of a community of continuing interest.
