The latest in our series of events that brings psychoanalysis together with people making a difference in the world.

Professor Tomo Potokar will be in conversation with Dr Jo Violet on the. Professor Tomo has recently retired as Chief Surgeon of the ICRC after a thirty-six-year career in humanitarian medicine across Africa, Asia and Europe. Tomo has worked extensively in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon and was undertaking emergency surgery throughout the most recent violence.

Jo and Tomo will talk about his career in the humanitarian field, the realities of working in active combat zones, and Gaza in particular, and his views on identity and the drivers of these conflicts. There will then be time for questions from the audience.

The proceeds of the event will be split between SIP Low-Cost Clinic and Interburns.
