Description

Join us for a new post-Jungian supervision course, running over four weekends in 2026 – March, June, September, and completing in December 2026. The course will be held in person at the Association of Jungian Analysts, Delancey Street, Camden, London NW1. In addition, supervision-of-supervision groups (three participants per group) will run online over 30 weeks, with 90-minute sessions beginning in March 2026.
Our approach provides an in-depth exploration of a Jungian approach to clinical supervision, with a focus on exploring the key skills and orientation necessary for effective supervision in therapeutic or clinical settings. Participants will engage with challenging clinical conundrums, explore complex ethical issues, and refine their problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to become adept at this practice.

Drawing on both theoretical and practical aspects of supervision, the course invites participants to delve into the unique dynamics of the supervisory relationship, considering elements such as exploring differences in others, identity, culture, spirituality, trauma and neurodiversity and transference while also fostering a capacity for creativity and ethical decision-making in complex situations.

The course is convened by Julienne McLean and Chris Williams, both highly regarded training analysts and supervisors with extensive expertise and experience. They have carefully designed and developed the programme to reflect contemporary practice, and to incorporate innovative educational approaches. Our course speakers and supervisors also bring significant knowledge and depth across the wide range of subjects explored throughout the course.

The course is suitable for experienced supervisors as well as more recently qualified clinicians. Participants must have one or more supervisees (or groups) for the duration of the course. The course content prepares participants for registration with the British Association of Psychodynamic & Psychoanalytic Supervisors (BAPPS). This does not confer a guarantee of BAPPS membership, but the course content does fulfil their supervision training criteria. More information on the criteria for membership of the BAPPS can be found online here.

Applicant eligibility criteria:
· 3 years post-qualification experience as Jungian analysts, psychoanalytic psychotherapists or psychodynamic psychotherapists
· Be registered with the BPC or UKCP or accredited with the BACP or/and IAAP
· Have some working supervisory experience at the beginning of the course
· An established caseload as a qualified psychotherapist / analyst
· An established interest in Jungian and post-Jungian ideas

Fees for the taught course are £2300. Fees for the supervision of supervision are £850. The total course fees can be paid flexibly by instalments.
