The Psychology of Autism: Research in Real Life
Book ticketsOrganised by:
Divergent Thinking
Description
The psychology of autism is often presented more confidently than the evidence allows. This live, interactive webinar makes current research accessible without reducing autistic people to a brain scan or checklist.
Led by Nat Hawley, founder of Divergent Thinking, the session combines neurodivergent lived experience, an MSc in Applied Neuroscience and extensive workplace delivery experience.
Participants will explore key concepts and findings, what different theories explain well and where their limits lie, why individual experiences vary despite a shared label, and practical implications for communication, support and inclusion.
The webinar is for autistic and otherwise neurodivergent adults, psychotherapists and other practitioners, managers, HR and People teams, DEI and L&D professionals, educators, coaches, colleagues and allies. No diagnosis or prior specialist knowledge is required.
Participation is by choice. Attendees can contribute by voice, chat or anonymous polls, or simply listen. There is no cold-calling; cameras and microphones are optional; live automated captions are available. Everyone who registers receives the recording, and an attendance certificate is available on request.
This educational webinar cannot assess or diagnose anyone and does not replace clinical, legal or therapeutic advice.
