If you have recently retired from clinical work and would like to keep in touch with the BPC and the wider profession, you can join our new retired category. Joining our retired category means you can stay in-the-loop on developments, updates and events in the sector.
Sharing inherited knowledge and experience is crucial to the psychoanalytic ecosystem. As a regulator, we cherish the opportunity to stay connected with those with a professional history in psychoanalysis.
Joining our retired category is also a way to consistently support the BPC in the work we do to keep the profession safe and cultivate a vibrant psychoanalytic community. As a small organisation operating with limited resources, your ability to continue supporting us through your membership fee will go a long way in helping us to continue our work as a high-quality regulator and membership body.

This category is for recent BPC Registrants in good standing (e.g. including but not limited to any current or outstanding Fitness to Practise allegations) who are retired and no longer undertaking any clinical work. This includes supervision and teaching.
Once in this category, you will not be on the BPC Register, or referred to as a BPC Registrant, and are no longer subject to the BPC complaints procedure.
Joining our retired category is one way to consistently support us in the work we do to keep the profession safe and cultivate a vibrant psychoanalytic community.
